Q: Do I need to pack all the clothes in my dressers? Yes please. Clothes add extra weight and can destabilize dressers that are assembled at home. In older, sturdier furniture, the extra weight the clothes provide can cause difficulties if the dresser had to be turned or repositioned to exit rooms or to be loaded into the moving vehicle safely.
Q: Do washers need to be drained before moving? It is generally a good idea to do so. There is always water left over in washing machines after usage. Draining this water decreases the weight of the washer and also ensures that your items do not get damaged from water that spills out during transportation. Simply disconnect the incoming water from the machine and run the spin cycle. That should successfully drain any water left inside the washer.
Q: Does making multiple stops to pick up furniture from different places cost extra? No it does not. There is no extra charge for making multiple stops. You can make as many stops as necessary during the course of your move. Please, however, make sure to inform us that multiple stops might be needed for your move when scheduling.
