Tips for Making Moving Easier
Helpful & Useful Tips
- Do as much of the small stuff as possible. If at all possible, transport as many of the small boxes or items as you can during the days or weeks leading up to your relocation. That will save considerable time for us in loading and unloading items which translates into saving money for you!
- Centralize as many items as possible. Getting most of your items into one area helps us be much more efficient with our time and planning.
- Show us everything! When moving day arrives and it's time for us to do our walkthrough of the living area, please show us EVERYTHING that we will be moving. Having a complete and thorough knowledge of all the items involved in the relocation enables us to be extremely strategic and precise with how we pack and load your items. It also ensures that all of your belongings will fit into the moving vehicle without any unforeseen oversights.
- Dust! Please try and make sure that all items to be moved are as clean as possible.
- Delegate! It's extremely helpful for us (especially unloading) to have one person tell us where each item goes. This allows us to set up your rooms as you'd like them and also increases our efficiency and decreases time consumption.
- Have fun! This is your new home and this should be an enjoyable experience!
Pets & Kids
Small children and pets are amazing! However, during a relocation, they can get under foot and endanger themselves and the movers. Please try and keep pets and small children away from high traffic areas as much as possible.
